Sky Guide Music

This is one of those random posts that I just need to talk about.

Over Christmas the Sky Guide planner has been playing slightly odd, slightly dancey Christmas tracks. That's all well and good, I reckon there was about 5 or 6 of them in total.

So why is now we're subjected to the same 2 poxy tracks all year long! I know they occasionally change and yes, I can turn it off, but, come on Sky... give me something new to listen to!

Pipex - Sky Migration

Still no ADSL after weeks without it due to migration hell.

In short, got my MAC code off Pipex gave it to Sky and all was well for a week. Then connection went entirely for 2.5 weeks due to a "fault at the exchange". Back on for a week then out again, this 30 days after I'd had the MAC code applied. Basically it hasn't been applied correctly by Sky so Pipex automatically take over the line again as MAC's expire after 30 days.

2 weeks on and still Pipex are being very very unhelpful with my requests to cease the service so I can get Sky back online. It's suppose to be ceased by Friday this week, but, as BT still don't know about the cease request I don't believe them.

Pipex will be getting a complaint very OFCOM and I'll be seeking compensation as it's out of order!

Don't ever use migration. Cancel and resign up. It will be easier.

I Hate...

... Diamond car insurance adverts!!!

Who gives a sh*t there's a sexual discriminating insurance agency out there trying to convince the world women are better drivers. Men are as bad as women and women as bas as men.

(off the soapbox)

False eBay Bidders

Now I have no problem with Nigerian's, I used to work with one... but... why do they insist on bidding on eBay items they have NO intention of paying for!!! Grrrr.....

Still...

... the CD isn't here.

Micro$oft

Surprisingly the free update CD still hasn't arrived.

HL2

Guess what Half-Life 2 delayed again!

Just check my Amazon account as I pre-ordered the game last Septemeber and it now says this will be released on the 12th Novemeber 2004!!! What are they doing! I saw a thing a while ago saying it was due to the source code leak but come on guys, over a year late?

Ah well. Give's me time to save for a nicer PC to run it on!

Government Forms

Clear as mud, that's what they are! First moan is you have to trapse all the way to the Post Office to get the form in the first place, erm dur, they're all "e" versions somewhere, stick 'em on a website, hey forms.gov.uk not tricky. Anyway, form in question is reclaiming Premimum Bonds. Most of the form is fine but one bit about how you only actually repay part, ooo grr. Rant over.

Bloody Government Taxes

Council tax, it's a pain in the arse and to high. The proposed tax/fine whatever if you're caught speeding! What's going on, are the motorists supposed to pay for this governments inability to manage our money.

The latest news on council funding reforms is all fine because there does need to be a solution, but with the news also that local authorities are thinking of putting in local income tax, house taxes, green taxes etc. we may as well just give the bloody government what little of our salaries we actually get paid out and claim a weekly allowance! If they take much more tax we're not going to have any money left... and to top it off I bet most of the tax is used to pay for people claiming benefit who don't need it and the swamp of sodding asylum seekers (I'm not even going to start on that).

Rah.

All these changes to council tax if they do change, and we get more different local level taxes will make it more like the old Poll tax. You should pay a flat capped rate for the house you're in then more depending on who's in it. Simple.Oh and on another note good luck to Mr Estall.
