If you use Steam and have downloaded any games, in particular Half Life 2 lately, you may want to know how to backup the files so you can rebuild your PC/Laptop etc. Well here is an article posted on the Steam forums.

Finally! There’s a release date and an official announcement that HL2 has gone gold and will be released on Nov. 16th.
Guess what Half-Life 2 delayed again!
Just check my Amazon account as I pre-ordered the game last Septemeber and it now says this will be released on the 12th Novemeber 2004!!! What are they doing! I saw a thing a while ago saying it was due to the source code leak but come on guys, over a year late?
Ah well. Give’s me time to save for a nicer PC to run it on!
