Toshiba have officially announced (via) that they are no longer going to produce HD DVD’s. Considering that at least 5 of the major studios have gone with the Sony backed Blueray it’s hardly surprising. Hopefully this will mean that consuming units start coming down in price.

So why is now we’re subjected to the same 2 poxy tracks all year long! I know they occasionally change and yes, I can turn it off, but, come on Sky… give me something new to listen to!

It is with great regret that we announce the closure of Fopp.

Our store chain is profitable, well regarded and loved by our loyal customers and staff. However we have failed to gain the necessary support from major stakeholders, suppliers and their credit insurers to generate sufficient working capital to run our expanding business.

We would like to thank staff and customers for their support over the past 25 years.

Any outstanding website orders have now been cancelled and will not be fulfilled or charged.

This sucks, Fopp was cool.

One thing, if you go and you haven’t seen it already sit it out through the end credits. There’s more. Is it worth the 3+ minutes of credits wait? I’ll let you decide.
