So late the blog as ever, but off the back of MAX ColdFusion 9 has been announced with the codename “Centaur”. Adobe run about 2 year product cycles so I suspect it’ll be 2009.

I’ve often wondered if you can run the server installs of CF7 & 8 side by side and after a quick Google search I found this post (via) which goes through the steps very clearly. Suffice to say I’ve now got CF7 as my default and selected vhosts running with CF8.

It’s probably a bit more intensive on the server than via JRun, but, in my opinion far less faf!

Having rebuilt my PC I downloaded and installed the Sony Ericsson update service. I’d installed Flash in Firefox but not in IE. Turns out if you don’t install it via IE as well you’re going to get a “Incompatible Macromedia Version” error. Damn IE.

Essential reading though some controversial rules in there, I don’t think half time breaks should be allowed.
