Can’t wait!
Still no ADSL after weeks without it due to migration hell.
In short, got my MAC code off Pipex gave it to Sky and all was well for a week. Then connection went entirely for 2.5 weeks due to a “fault at the exchange”. Back on for a week then out again, this 30 days after I’d had the MAC code applied. Basically it hasn’t been applied correctly by Sky so Pipex automatically take over the line again as MAC’s expire after 30 days.
2 weeks on and still Pipex are being very very unhelpful with my requests to cease the service so I can get Sky back online. It’s suppose to be ceased by Friday this week, but, as BT still don’t know about the cease request I don’t believe them.
Pipex will be getting a complaint very OFCOM and I’ll be seeking compensation as it’s out of order!
Don’t ever use migration. Cancel and resign up. It will be easier.
Is you Macbook casing cracked? Just above the power light on the right frond hand side where your palm goes. Mine did, as has a colleague’s.
Called Apple up and go it replaced under warranty (less than 2 months old!) but it wasn’t easy. That said the servive provided, Rapid, were excellent. Booked it in Thursday, dropped it off Friday, part ordered Monday, arrived and fitter on Tuesday. Result.
I still love it. Hopefully it’s not going to crack again.
Been quiet on the posting front lately, mainly because Sky Broadband suck. OK, so that’s a bit harsh, their customer service department suck. Pipex also suck.
Basically moved from Pipex to Sky, mainly due to cost as bundled from Sky saves me overall around £25 per month. No brainer. Also would get a faster connection.
Not going to go into the long winded detail right now, but basically the ADSL migration process still sucks and is unreliable. Since being with Sky for just over 4 weeks, just over 3 of them have been without connection. If you want to migrate at the moment I think cancel the old and start up with the new is more reliable!
Currently at FOWD up in London. More interesting so far that FOWA, some good points on web application character and involving the user.
10 tips on form design from Ryan at 37signals, Denise from moo.com on character, George from flickr with some good comments on sustaining user involvement.
