Google has setup a page of links if you want to help with
Tsunami Relief. More information can be found on the BBC news site.
The official site (english version) also provides information. It’s running a bit slow, but that’s not surprising.
Having known 2 sets of people caught up in this a colleague and a family member of a good friend, both home safely thankfully, it’s a bit close to home! Thoughts go out to all who haven’t been as lucky.

Been scratching my head for a while trying to figure out why a simply CFC method with a couple of arguments and a plain select query was throwing an error. The error was
name can’t be empty
no case, no real clue as to what it was. Turns out after some digging and googling (HOF – cf-talk ) that it comes from if you have a query in the form
cfquery name=”qname” dsn=”#dsn#”
and your dsn variable is an empty string it throws that error. Just got to figure our were in my code the bug is!

Gone is the need to rummage around for a CD marker pen, burn straight onto the disc. Very cool.

Amazon.co.uk are the latest site to join in on what seems to be a rapidly growing market which is online DVD rental.
The new rentals section is now available.
There are 2 subscription flavours at the moment:

Price per month (including VAT) |
|

£9.99 |

Seems like quite a good idea, though, as a side thought Amazon will now have a huge distribution network even bigger than before and more stock.
